Shoplifting remains a Government priority and, as such, is a priority for Honiton NPT. Shoplifting can be undertaken by people of all ages and can affect shop staff mentally, as well as the store through monetary loss.

We have again seen an increase in shoplifting in and around the town. This has resulted in:
-2 arrests
-1 CBO
-Other ASB warnings being applied for

ASB - anti social behaviour to include anti social driving
Whilst anti-social behaviour will still be targeted within the town, the main Anti-Social focus for the next period will be on ASB Driving. This will include vehicles being driven without insurance and/or a valid driving licence, vehicle theft, unroadworthy vehicles, and drink and drug driving. Antisocial driving such as speeding, revving, loud music and large car meets also meets this criteria. This will include conducting speed checks in identified hotspot areas, supporting and expanding Community Speed Watch Activity, address vehicle related ASB through engagement and enforcement, and promoting road safety awareness.

-4 ASB occurrences being dealt with
-3 stop searches (1 positive)
-1 Acceptable Behaviour Contract being issued
-1 CBO being issued
-Agreement with the council to issue a further 4 CPWs to known ASB offenders
-1 Warrant arrest
